We got fish

Even before hitting the reset button and moving, my fiance and I have longed for a pet.

We thought about what would work for our work schedules:

• Cat – no my fiance is highly allergic
• Dog – work schedules would mean the dog would be inside for too long
• Rodents – I cannot deal with tiny claws…lizards included
• Snake – no.

With a stroke of brilliance, a large amount of research and determination, my fiance got us a fish tank and started our little home for aquatic friends.

Our first adventure involved a Betta named Red Hood and five tetras (The Outlaws).

Sadly, the Betta killed some tetras–the jerk.

Round 2

Currently, we have three Fancy Guppies, with the hope of breeding for more Fancy Guppies, and three Corydoras.

I never thought I would think a type of catfish would be cute. But, the Corydora’s little Zoidberg mouths are as comical as they are adorable.

I am glad that my fiance brought this little home into our home.  Keeping fish is fun.
