One of my friends recommend a movie to me. I enjoy a good foreign film and made the decision to check it out.

The movie he suggested to me was call Ip Man. Set in the late 1930’s during the Japanese occupation of China, the movie is about a martial artist named Master Ip.

The movie is powerful in demonstrating both the power of the human body in regards to the ferocity in which Master Ip defends himself.

What is more moving is the power of the human mind Master Ip demonstrates in his humble approach to life and dealing with the crumbling and increasing violent world around him because of the Japanese army.

Despite the situation and mounting pressures around him to fight, he maintains a sincerity and calm no mater the situation or regardless the punishment from the Japanese forces.

Ip Man as a whole is a dark movie. But, it is a movie full of heart and soul of the fighting spirit and power of a peaceful mind.
